How do I start a conversation with a historical figure?

Starting a conversation is easy:

  1. Visit the Historical Figures page
  2. Browse and select a historical figure that interests you
  3. Click "Start Conversation" on their profile
  4. Type your message and press Enter or click Send

The AI will respond as that historical figure, maintaining their personality, knowledge, and speaking style from their time period.

What can I talk about with historical figures?

You can discuss a wide range of topics:

  • Their life experiences and historical events they witnessed
  • Their work, achievements, and contributions to society
  • Philosophy, beliefs, and worldviews from their era
  • Advice on modern challenges (through their historical perspective)
  • Cultural and social aspects of their time period

Note: Each figure only knows about events up to their historical time period.

Do I need an account to use PastMinds?

You can start using PastMinds immediately without an account, but creating one offers benefits:

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is simple and free:

How do I access my conversation history?

Your conversation history is automatically saved when you have an account:

  • Visit your Dashboard to see all conversations
  • Click on any conversation to continue where you left off
  • Use the search function to find specific topics or figures
  • Export conversations as PDF or text files

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes, you have full control over your data:

  • Account Settings: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
  • Data Export: Download all your data before deletion
  • Immediate Effect: Account deletion is permanent and immediate
  • Backup Period: We keep a backup for 30 days for recovery

Troubleshooting

The AI isn't responding or responses are slow

If you're experiencing slow or missing responses:

  1. Check your internet connection - Ensure you have a stable connection
  2. Refresh the page - Sometimes a simple refresh fixes temporary issues
  3. Clear browser cache - Old cached data can cause problems
  4. Try a different browser - Test with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
